Ho no. Simple visit...

Wanted to print some tube info pages this morning and my printer was not obeing properly...I may have jumped to conclusion after reading about them Trojan horses.

Go figure...

I'm not a conspiracy guy either but i vision lots of serious documentory on the Beeb, PBS, Planet etc. and i know that it can get pretty messy sometimes with the secrete services and all...

In any case...after watching 3:10 to Yuma...i realized that my fast action draw was lacking and proceded to better my chops...

I got in touch with Chris Gordon in Vegas. He's a cool Bass player who also is a master Uberti fast draw sixgunn shooter. I'm flying down on monday for some private lesson...

I also sleep with a fully loaded Smith and Wesson pellet revolver under my pillow...

I use the Avast Antivirus software, free and updates daily.
I don't even know what site I clicked on but it was one of those that had info on Stan Meyer.
Sirens started going off and a voice said "Caution virus detected".
I closed down all my browser tabs and ran a virus scan.
Nothing detected so it apparently did it's job and kept the bugs out of my system.
The best way to scan for trojans and viruses is to start your computer in safe mode.
When you start your computer keep pushing F8 until it comes up with a screen with some choices and choose the safe mode without drivers.
That will keep it simple without any start up programs running.
Then run your virus scan on your system drive, usually C:

Introduction, I've posted a few times here, mostly lurk and learn on two amps I hope to build someday. I'm 50 have a wife and her 21 yr old stepson living here in Phoenix Az. I've been building amps only for a few years. So far I've built a 18watt marshall (trem), TMB and LiteIIb, a tweed deluxe clone and presently turning the TMB head (which I never came to like) into a High powered princeton reverb head with 6l6's. I'm move of a amp assembler at this point, I can read schematics, but more often than not build from a layout.
I'm in a bluesband here in Phoenix that I started about 4+ years ago. Its a six piece, two guitars, bass, drums, keys and a great female front singer ( www.brotherhoodofblues.com ). I've played since age 9, gigged two weekends a month for the last 6 years. Originally from Sacramento Ca. (The Delta :D ) I play my built amps out for shear enjoyment don't plan on building for others, but its a economical way to get amps I could usually not even think about affording (putting the 21 yr old through college which even with student loans ain't cheap). Anyway, love the post here, I'll go back to lurking unless I can help with random useless information. :D

Kindest regards,

Rev. Don

Or use a Mac and not worry about it

I figured their might be crap like that since the oil companies and gov't have done everything in their power to bury alternative energy technology.

Go off grid and you'll really piss off the energy industry.

We looked into solar for our house since we are remodeling and PG&E has a nifty little racket going on. We don't use that much electricity, so if you create excess, you can sell it back to the grid. The hitch with PG&E is that they will only give you credit for your excess that is fed back to the grid, thus if this is a constant, you'll never get any cash back from them. They take your power and sell it to consumers, collect the cash, and give you a credit that you may never use or need. Why then would you want to be on the grid?

Welcome Rev!

Pardon the off topic chatter.

Angelo Pacifici

Married for 34 years to a great gal ( Irish ) father of 3 grown boys
with 2 beautiful grandchildren.

Trained in architecture at Pratt, have been a photo-journalist and cinematographer for 35years. Currently also teaching film-making at USC.

Been collecting and restoring all sorts of guitars for years now. I am patiently waiting for my D'lite kit to start my first build. Been brushing up on my knowledge of electronics, which is rather limited. I have been inspired by the wealth of knowledge and willingness to share ideas and passion about this great endeavor on this site and Brown Note as well.

Looking forward to building this amp, which i have had the great pleasure of playing at Phalanges ( John L ) place.

I'm an OK player, I want to break through that plateau and been playing a lot lately.

best regards Angelo

Heheheh, I hear ya.
My wife is totally anti-government/ big brother type.
Her dream is to be off grid and out of the watchful eyes.
I asked her so, you want to live in a mud hut in the desert somewhere?
She said, absolutely.
I asked, but where would I plug my amps and computers in?

I wonder sometimes about the validity of some of these conspiracy theories.
We've all heard of the 200 mpg carburetors that Detroit supposedly squashed.
A car that runs on water then the inventor suddenly dies?
What's that saying about absolute power.........
Hmmm, time for that tin foil beanie. :D
