I always kinda thought TGP was a bunch of douchebags looking for the ultimate next great amp, pedal, guitar, whatever....so they could play in their bedroom :?:

And? :D

Although I kind of take offense at that about bedroom players, I have to admit, at age 57 , I'm not really looking for a gig anymore.

So can't a bedroom player have good tone?
Some of the best sound tracks I have listened to were very pro.
And aren't most bedroom players welcome to invites to an actual gig?

My bedroom tone is the best it has been in years,
Since I built my 100W ODS clone thanks to the information and guidence from this forum. :P

Now I just have to work on my jams.

Tom, you're forgetting my qualifier..."douchebag", which you are far from

It's all good brother, I play a lot more in my basement then out, lol...just seemed to be a phenomenon over there to me.

No, we're cool.

I think anytime you get a large group of guys around each other the character flaws and egos will be exposed (TGP)

How many members do they have now?

30 thousand?

I noticed a lot more douchbaggery over there since HC folded.

Hell I can barely play I don't like playing in front of people at all. Doesn't mean you have to be a super douche
On the other hand I've known guys that could play and had bands and were idiots.had the worst sound ever wouldn't no a good sounding amp if I hit em in the face with it

I have an identical twin brother who used to talk about going on the Gear Page, and like a fool, I went on to see what the draw was. There's definitely some amusing people displaying their unique worldview on music, instruments, and amps, not to mention effects pedals. I still go on to experience that particular altered reality.

I'm much more a TAG guy and more interested in figuring out how to build my own amps. Maybe too much solder smoke, but I'm not big on giving some one else a whole bunch of my money for something I enjoy making.

Plus, my dream group is getting to be one where no one has a guitar amp over 5 Watts, and with no more than 3 knobs. Oh great. Now I look like the wacko!
It's a guitar amplifier. How hard can it be?

No way that happens unless someone is on crack and someone is on meth.
