Have you met Carl yet?

Post by Tubetwang »

So, a while back...i figured pedals were degrading my Trainwreck' sound (Express+ Liverpool clones)...

They were all... sold...

You know...Neurosis of the Liver?...Pepto-Bismark??...

But i missed playing with Jimbo...and my rockabilly dudes...

I proceeded to research short delay pedals...

Popped the clutch on a Rocktron Short Timer from American Music Supply...

Bad move...noisy with high gain amps...dropped it and, she passed on me...took it apart and kept the parts...savy mother i am...

Went to Moog Audio and got a Carl Martin Red Repeat for a little over a cenoed...

Now we are talking quality here folks... 8)

I went back the next day and purchase a Carl Martin Classic Opto-Compressor...

E-mailed Scott at www.axeandyoushallreceive.com and ordered an Visual Sound One Spot and a Lehle Little Dual.

I'm in heaven...Going to ze Lehle... to one amp clean with effects, or, to other amp Hall approved VVR'ed to crunch city, or, to both, in unison...

That ol' 12" Eminence Delta Pro takes bass-mid-treble like there's no tomorrow...Best kept secret below three digits...

Came out of my music room last night and...low and behold...saw my 13 year old and my fiance... Bic lighter lit... hand in the air... in haw of my playing...

I've got to learn to record now!

One day, i'll be shadowing on you tube!...

Oh yeas I will!!

I will!!!

Thanks Doc!

Always nice to hear from a fan...

I always knew that playing 3 to 7 hours a day would eventually pay off...

I took lesson from Jim in late 50'...before his yé-yé studio days in France...

We've kept in touch...sort of...he's such a reserved guy and me, being a loner...

His mom did send me a piece of cake on the 9th...she's a great cook!
