Sit near the gate with an RF analyzer and determine the frequency the remote uses when one if the honest neighbors pulls in.
The remote will send a code - record the code on that frequency - build a small transmitter that transmits on that frequency - play back the code while transmitting.
Sounds easy enough.
Of course - you COULD stop being such a cheap a$$ and cough up $50 - go give blood for $50 - go find aluminum cans from couple of local bars and make $50 in one afternoon - go pawn some old CD's - sell something on Craigslist - eat at home for a week instead of eating out - or be the really annoying guy that waits for someone to pull in and follow them in each time.
Call 911 - when the FD comes they will ram the gate. It'll take them about 2 weeks for them to repair the gate - so there's 2 weeks.
When the gate opens flip the breaker when the gate is fully open. It will take a couple of weeks for the repair guy to come out and find the tripped breaker - there's another 2 weeks.
Move to apartments that don't have gates.
