Wow Phil, I'm really sorry.
I do know how you feel as I've had to deal with this before.
Sounds like you gave her lots of love and a long happy life.
there's not a whole lot more any of us can ask for.

Sorry Phil, it's really tough to let go of a pet friend. We just put down our very elderly cat this summer and it was definitely the right thing to do, but it's still surprising how much it hurts to make that decision for them.
Don't you boys know any NICE songs?

One thing I wasn't expecting is when our late dog nowadays decides to pay a visit in dreams, quirky and misbehaving as ever, and I wake up smiling. I wish you many such visits.
