Other way around methinks. In fact country has gone completely glam-rock for the last quarter-century, enough to make the Diamond Dogs blush.

No more cowboy on a hay-bale, plinkin' on a gee-tar, singin' lonely songs to his horse.

No matter, except for who shows up in whose museum / hall of flame.

I like good music, good guitar, good pedal-steel, bass, Hammond, piano, drums etc etc.

Blurring the lines between genres is all to the good, might just make it a bit hard to select who for what award list. So what. Buy what you like the best and dig it.
