Re: About a song

Adele has THE gift. She isn't just singing, she is channeling emotion with her voice. Just the right vibrato, pitch, volume, note choice, etc...I dislike performers, especially singers, that use these traits as if it's all that is necessary. American Idol is a breeding ground for the misuse of these things.

It really is not easy to describe it in words. When the performer, could be a singer, instrumentalist, or whatever, makes magic, you just know. I love it when my hair stands up or even better, I cry...because the performer transmitted pure emotion. I lose all connection with the reality of space and time and become suspended in the performer's emotion. It's why I love music so much. Someone here posted this a while back. It is great example for me.

Totally suspended in the emotion. Notice the reaction of Page, Plant and Jones. Does this song have that effect on anyone else here? I have played this for about a dozen people and they all had tears. I am sure there are studies into why this happens. I am just glad that it does.
