Hola muchachos.

Post by Marshall & Moonshine »

Hi everyone. New member here. I only have a minute right now and haven't had time to really browse too much but found the site through a guy on MLP. I recently got the bug to start building a few amps (not as a business.....), and this looks like the spot for that. I plan to start with a 5f2-a, then see where I want to go from there. I mainly play in a small-ish church, so a princeton is probably plenty, though I may build it into a 2x10 combo. I don't know yet. It looks like a wide new world out there.
I look forward to meeting everyone and picking your brains.

I am but a minor and tangential member of this community, but I bid you welcome! If I can be of service, I will endeavour to do so.

Warmest Regards, Bill. :D

Cool! There's some real talent back in the Box for sure, but I figured the more the merrier. :)

Right on guys! Thanks! I figured I'd start simple, and judge what I want/need from there. The amps i am thinking about are the 5f2-a, vibro champ (possibly oversize the OT, pending advice), 5e3, and possibly a marshall 18w-inspired amp where i'm thinking about using a single el34 rather than the push pull el84's. Just a thought though. I don't really want to build from kits, though the first one probably will be. The rest will hopefully be built over time. I'll start an actual thread for them when the time comes. Hopefully soon.
