Personal reasons too I guess.I eak out a living doing woodworking on old shitty sometimes dangerous tools cause I can't make enough money to buy any new/good machinery.So I'm gonna be depressed when I see peoples hobby shop thats a million times better than mine.

I agree with cbass. Head and cab design stuff but not the actual woodworking. might as well have a sheet metal, welding and machining section also. I'd rather see how you guy do the fancy face plates and stuff like that.

Hmmm...I think the flavor of this need to include all of the handwork that might go into amp building that isn't related to the circuit itself. Woodworking goes with cabinets. If a coffee table creeps in once in a while, are we really that unforgiving? Maybe we should add metalwork to the list. We don't need perfection on the name of the subforum. It will appear with a description of the proper range of topics.

Might as well make a sub forum for FX's while you are at it.
So far all of these sub forums have lived inside the general TAG design without issue. Best advice I ever got was be good at one thing and not just ok at a lot of things. Second best advice. Don't conform to make people like you, they will like you for who you are for not trying to be like everyone else. Becareful you don't spread this forum to thin, we had a great thing going.

Would this include the cabinetry that applies to the other sub-forums ?
i.e. Marshall, Fender, T-Wreck, and Dumble enclosures move from those areas to be combined into the new area ?
It might be a challenge to get (for example) a Dumble enthusiast to post in a cabinet area rather than the Dumble sub-head.

Machine work and woodworking are weak areas for me, I only have the simplest woodwork tools and nothing for machine work or welding.
I wouldn't mind having an area where such information could more easily searched and browsed.

I can build an entire full blown real amp in a couple of days.
And sometimes they work!

To build a cab for it takes weeks.
And then I have to cover it.

I say make a section.
I have a lot to learn.

I'm not afraid of woodworking.

The answer to my own rhetorical about machinists:
Because of the tolerances.
I know what to expect from metal.
Wood freaks me out.
No matter how dead it is, it's still alive, and moves too much.
