Does the asking price usually correlate with the number of images provided? am thinking for 14 large, I'd like to get some NOS output tubes, a vintage Les Paul, and a cord (and a tube screamer).
cheers,
rob

I saw a guy buy a Martin for almost $200k once. Not even a player, so..

I bet you my Vibroverb build sounds just as good and was over 550x less expensive for me to put together.

One of the chassis straps is pitted. Hardly pristine. Devalues is by 90% IMO.

Is that cap (second from the left) blistered and ready to spill electrolyte?

Looks like it to me. Hard to see for sure, but what else would it be?NickC wrote:[img:800:536]http://i1116.photobucket.com/albums/k56 ... 24_050.jpg[/img]

Wow - super clean amp!!!
High book value on that one is $8,300 (2011 Vintage Guitar Mag Price guide). So it's not too far off the mark, obviously they're driving the price a little higher and willing to come down some.

Yeah for them it's "free" advertising and an easy way to artificially inflate the market. It's a beautiful amp and everything but Brent is spot on with that price. On TDPRI I saw a perfect blonde Twin for sale for $7000 which is a "fair" price for a rare amp.

fender
I agree with Cliff in that you could make one and it would sound as good but I guess the owning a rare pc. of history is the thought here.I built a twin with a wheat colored cab.I still have it.It came out pretty nice I think I got it from marsh amps and its mojo cab.If I was a weathy man I would be hunting those kind of amps all day long. Its amazing how expensive this stuff is getting on ebay.I noticed that matchless amps are all over 2 K now.You used to see clubmans for 1350.00 used,I do like that color and the classic fender clean with reverb sound.Mikey

At that price I would expect free gold-plated, gilded-lily shipping to NZ
