I'm not a country fan but I think his Bella album is great. I noticed some unusual guitar and found it was played by his father Richard Thompson. The album is like Richard Thompson's twist on country music. Looking for a Girl and The Next One are top pop (never charted though) and the other songs are wonderfully different.
