Keef's autobiography "Life"
Anyone reading/read this? I picked one up at an airport y'day. The opening chapter is very funny, should have been titled "Fear & Loathing in Arkansas".

Well worth it. A great book about one of the true greats of rock'n roll.

I will definitely pick this up.
If you guys liked that book then you should check out Eric Clapton's autobiography (I think it's just called "Clapton"). Pretty funny and very entertaining.

Re: Keef's autobiography "Life"
I will definitely put it on my Christmas wish list.
Since we are starting a book club now...
I read Claption's book. My take was much darker, and it really made me not want to drink for a while.
Geoff Emmerick's book is really good. Lot's of technical stuff about recording the Beatles sessions, but plain English enough that it is an easy read.
George Martin's book was interesting as well. A lot of the same events from a different perspective.

Second on Geoff Emericks book. Rousing and imformative good read from a perspective I've never seen before with the Beatles, or any other band really.
Imagine being promoted to recording engineer at age 19 and your first gig was an album by the worlds most popular band.
And the result? Revolver.

I read Clapton too. Yes, some darkness, and tragedy, but he did overcome it, same as Keith Richards has (well, more or less!).
Both their descriptions of growing up in postwar England are right on the money and mirror my own experience, I am the same age as these guys and it was every bit as godawful as they describe.
