Hi,
I've got a Hot Cat 30 1x12 combo. The amp is from when Mark Samson was still part of Bad Cat, and all the components internally actually have "Matchless" stamped on them. It didn't have reverb, so I ended up making an O'Connor-type series/parallel FX loop for it. Then I figured, while I'm at it why not make two? So...it now has separate FX loops for each of the channels. That actually works out really nicely, especially if you have a dual mono processor. I use it in parallel mode, and it is extremely transparent.
Tremendous thundering cleans, and a really flexible gain channel. Great amp!
Anyway, I'm interested in selling it because I don't use it much anymore and I am not as young as I once was: this amp is hefty. Does anyone know what blue book would be on this amp in good condition?

It's going to be hard to judge the market price since you modified the circuit. If you can return it to stock without any additional chassis holes, and you are clean with the solder it might sell for $1500. If the chassis has been bastardized leave the mod and expect far less then the going rate. Whatever the next amp sells for honestly knock $500 off. By defacing the amp (drilling holes) the Sampson era magic is cancelled out. Your best bet is to take it around locally and convince a buddy how awesome the amp is and your mod so he pays you for the amp and your work. As a collector the amp w/mod(holes) would be worth ~ $1000 assuming the cosmetic condition was 8.5/10 or better.

Lonestar 2x12 sells used $700-$1600 depending on area and condition.

Stiletto heads $800-$1800 depending on version/model/features

Personally I would not have traded but If you are happy with the Bad Cat it's subjective.
