speaker impedence
Hello, I have a speaker labeled 16ohms that measures 12ohms. When I parallel wire another 16ohm speaker( different brand) the total ohms measure 7 ohms. Should I use the 4ohm speaker out or the 8ohm speaker out? Thanks!
Re: speaker impedence
DCR (your 12 ohm reading) is typically about 75% of impedance. What you see is normal. Two 16's in parallel call for the 8 ohm tap. Using two different speakers may create an uneven output between them. Your ears will tell you if it's any good or not.
