impedence question
I have a 5k output transformer into an 8 ohn load. What would happen if I used a 4 ohm load. Would that make my output transformer 2.5K or 10k? It's a singel ended kt66 that "should" see 2.5k but I used a 5k and want to use 2 8ohm speakers. thanks

Re: impedence question
5K @ 8ohm using a 4 ohm load would make the primary 2.5K. A class A S/E Kt66 is looking for 2.2K so it sounds like a good match. Not sure how you are wiring it so keep in mind that Triode mode is 4.5K and would be happier at 5K @ 8 ohms.

Re: impedence question
It's a single ended ultralinear stereo I built. Thought it would be nice to have speakers in the front and the back of the room.
