Installing a line out on a 5F1 Tweed Champ

Post by Tubetwang »

Any of you'se guys know how to put in a line out on a 5F1 Tweed Champ.

I've used this Ceriatone layout...

www.ceriatone.com/images/layoutPic/fend ... out200.jpg

Thinking of using this line out to overdrive the Express...

I thought maybe a .01mfd cap on the 12AX7's pin 1?

Thanks

a .01mfd cap on the 12AX7's pin 1 would give you way to hot an AC signal.. Taking it from the secondary of the OT gives you a signal that has already been "transformed" to low voltage high current ac signal.

This is a very basic solution. The pot = volume / amplitude, the 47K can be adjusted to give more or less signal. For a champ 27k or so might be a better fit. you can add a tone pot easily as well.
