I'm still loving my D'Lite 22/33. The only mod I've made is removing the BASS MOD. I have:
1x12 G12-65 in an open back cab
2x10 Eminence 105s
They are both 8 ohms and I like the way both sound but they are completely different. I like playing either one and occasionally both in parallel at 4 ohms.
But I think the best setup would be a speaker switcher that would allow 1-head into 2-cabs. I'm thinking about the "Radial Cabbone". It keeps a constant load on the amp so you don't risk the amp.
Anyone tried something like this.
Radial makes some really good stuff... some of it unique. Even if they had competition for some of their products their stuff would still be the best.
Although... if you're using your rig live just mic up each cab and have your soundman control the mix. With current pro sound technology all your guy has to do is snooze at the board and turn down when the club owner tells him to!
Make him earn his keep, give him a list of effects cues.
That's true ... but I'd like to be able to have that same control at a jam session. These speakers are so different and both really good too. Still considering ...

Your suggestion of the live mix vs. my need for the jam session got me to thinking this afternoon. While cutting the grass ... I came up with this idea:
Guitar > Cable D'Lite > (G12-65 8ohm Parallel with 2x10 Emi 8ohm) for 4ohm load
Then into
e609 mic on each cab > BlueTube Stereo Mic Preamp (mix to taste)
Then into either:
PA System (one or two feeds) ... can go direct to PA with the e609s as well, as suggested
My Fender Acoustasonic Amp (for Jams or around the house) to add reverb
My PC Soundcard for stereo recording
Now ... I can't totally switch cabs on the fly this way BUT if you ease off one a couple of clicks and ease the other one up a couple of clicks, it has a similar effect.
