Blues DeVille PT specs

Post by andrew »

Does anyone have the specs on a Blues Deville PT? A friend gave me the non working amp and I would like to use it for a 2-EL34 Express. Thanks!

here's a link to the schem:

judging by the voltages and tube compliment, I'm gonna guess it's something like:
650-700VCT, 200-250mA, 6.3V@3-4A, and I have no idea about the bias tap (probably just fine, though)

Plate voltages are gonna be higher than spec, but otherwise, if'n there's enough heater current, I can't see why ya shouldn't go for it. As far as tone is concerned at the higher plate voltages, I couldn't tell ya; I'll leave that one up to the "Ex-press-perts" (hey, I just made that up -- I think ) to answer
