This is not a very technical question, however has any one used the Decorative head screws for mounting chassis to cabinets? They look nice but do not seem to functional, being how there is no slot for a screw driver. Any special tricks can be done to keep from marring the decorative finish?
Best Regards,
Brian

Re: Decorative head screws
I've used them with excellent results. Just make sure the mounting hole is just a few thousands smaller than the screw itself for a snug fit but not to small where you can't get the screw started in the hole. Use a locking nut with the nylon insert. To help hold the screw head from turning while you tighten the nut, wrap some friction tape on your finger or thumb. The undersized hole will help with the rest.

Thanks for the reply, While they look nice I do not think I am going to use them because they are not that functional for the application I need. I am mounting a chassis into a combo cabinet. I did happen to find some brass screws at the hardware store that should work.
