Fixed bias ground
I’m still learning and wondered in a fixed bias amp, where the cathode goes direct to ground, if the ground connection comes undone at that point (say pin 3 of an EL84, what happens to the voltage at pin 3 without the ground reference?

Cathode current would go to zero and this will cause the Pin 3 voltage to increase. Depending on what kind of meter you are using the voltage may even rise to full B+.
