Not sure if this should be in a pedal building thread.
Wondering about repairs on a Zoom 9002. I see where its possible to replace the electrolytic caps. Anyone have experience with digging those caps out and getting this unit up and running again,
There is that one tone from "Owner of a Lonely Heart" YES, the solo break that I used to get on the zoom. Would love to get it going again.
I can hear guitar through headphone direct to the output, but does not pass signal to an amp.

I believe this cap 10/16 r is on the charge pump and may be the offending cap.
So I think its a 10uf 16v variety.

I would tend to think that if a cap was failing it would be one of the ones with the highest voltage rating since that you be on the main power supply rail( s).
Just unsolder that cap you question and test it on your meter set for resistance.
If it reads less then 1K then it’s likely bad.
If you have any caps on hand even if a higher uf value or voltage then just install that, it will not harm anything and you then have eliminated that cap as a source of the problem.
I would also look for bad solder connections on the main output jack(s) since many times the cables get stepped on when in use and this will beak the jacks solder points on the board.
This could be why the headphone output works, but fails to do so from the output jack.
