PCB with turret?
This a prototype board for my new amp build BOW Morse 6V6(3 12ax7, 1 6v6gt, 5W) with solid relays. It's a mess I know, so I'm thinking to design a PCB board, but the PCB boards are not friendly for repairing and modifying, What about a hybrid approch? PCB with turret ? PCB for control components only? What do you think? Dose anyone have a better idea?

						Re: PCB with turret?
remember, more space between the stages how the gain going up, better will be the sound,
here you will have too much interference and not so ok sound
pcb with turrets is modern approach but pcb need to be hi quality by all means and design too

						Re: PCB with turret?
Last post I made was about a sovtek amp with a low quality pcb and turrets. The turrets are probably there just for installation; cheaper and more reliable than quick connects.
High quality PCB’s are plenty repairable/moddable/etc. so are low quality ones, just less forgiving. You need to be mindful of the thermal mass of your iron tip and the pad/trace/component you are soldering to to avoid lifting the trace. Friedman amps I’ve worked on are pcb, but “feel” like an eyelet board. Well designed double sided boards with thick copper and plated through holes probably don’t need turrets unless your marketing team demands them.

Re: PCB with turret?
Thanks for all your advices, I now decide to go with full PCB approach . I will post the final result here .
