I am working on a 66 bassman for a friend and was considering a dumble type FET input for his acoustic guitar.
Here's the guitar:

Would it be possible to do this? That way he would have a guitar input, acoustic input, and bass guitar input?
Just a thought. Thanks.

Re: FET input for acoustic in a bassman
If he is going to run the Bassman head Into it’s
2-12” cab then it will not work out too well!
Too much bottom from the 12 inches and or volume out of those size speakers will make for howling feedback out of the guitar even with a sound hole plug on a small club stage.
This is the main reason why most amps for acoustic guitars have no bigger then a 10” speaker and even a good amount of the smallest amps like these have a XLR output jack so you can get most of the needed volume out of the PA system and side step the feedback issue.
In short the stage amp for a acoustic player is just for his personal monitor usage.
He would be better off if he wants to play thru the Bassman by putting a Fishman bridge acoustic pickup system and its preamp in his electric guitar and then running that thru a separate EQ before pumping that into the Bassman.
You can also pump this into a PA by means of a DI box, or some of the EQs made for this purpose have the needed XLR out to do such.
