Looking for Takt G-10 Wiring Diag
Hello Everyone.
I know this is a rare bird but I thought I would ask.
Does anyone have a wiring for the TAKT G-10. It has 2- 6AV6 and one 6AR5.
I appreciate the consideration.

What problem is it having?
With those tubes it’s a class A single ended 3.5 watt or so amp.

Hi Steven
Thanks for the reply. After replacing the primary caps, no real problem. But it would be nice to see the wiring diagram.
I have a basic understanding. The power/rectifier is puzzling me. No center tap on the transformer. So with transformer 2 wires and 2 diodes and 2 -80 caps wired in opposite.
Then a .01 (smoothing cap) across the power supply.
So it would be nice to see it so that I can understand it and also be able to mod.

Sounds like a voltage doubling power supply.

That is so crazy! I looked it up and this I think describes what I can not wrap my head around.
I copied the following.
"Here's how the doubler works:
When point A is negative compared to point B, D2 is forward-biased and charges C2 to 140vac * 1.414 = 198vdc. On the next half-cycle, the polarity of the seocndary changes, and point A is positive compared to pont B. Now D1 is forward-biased and charges C1 to 140vac * 1.414 = 198vdc."
I have been trying to map the power supply but it made no sense. So used to A+ B+ C+ and primary caps.
This little critter is so different.
Thanks again

Re: Looking for Takt G-10 Wiring Diag
i know a different beast, but was used a lot in bogen pa amps (chb/challenger/whatever series) that have easily sourced schematics if seeing it in schematic form is helpful

Right on!
Bogen Challenger research under way.
Thanks

Re: Looking for Takt G-10 Wiring Diag
Hey you guys.........I can not thank you enough. I spent 4 days on and off looking up references to rectifiers. And my strange takt did not fit anything I found.
I am a bit crazy, but this made things much worse. Ha! I just looked up that Bogen and yes, yes, that is it.
Knowing that this is a rectifier design helps.
So I might just make my own wiring diagram of the TACK GA-10.

nothing better than being able to give back to a community that gives so much so that the next chump doesn't have to kill productive hours trying to figure out what in the `ell is going on

Since there has been no replies on the wiring diagram and it makes more sense, I will try to make one.
This chump may be able to contribute!

Re: Looking for Takt G-10 Wiring Diag
If I make a wiring diagram, would you be willing to check it? I know you don't have the amp, but a general check to see if I missed something important.
Let me know.

Re: Looking for Takt G-10 Wiring Diag
sure, but if you post it here with a disclaimer that it's unverified it should get a lot keener eyes than mine on it

Re: Looking for Takt G-10 Wiring Diag
Yes makes sense. I would want a disclaimer. Thanks for the advise. Is there another way I could post it?
