blowing fuses when turning amp on
i build a cramn ghia clone. 2 el84's 2 12ax7's 5y3 rectifer. replaced all the tubes , output transformer and still blowing the fuses . how do i pin point the problem'

There is a short in the amp somewhere. You need to isolate possible sources.
1. Remove the power tubes. If the fuse doesn't blow replace them (this applies to any of the following steps).
2. If the fuse still blows remove the rectifier tube.
3. If it still blows, remove all preamp tubes.
4. If it still blows, disconnect all secondary wires from the power transformer.
5. If it still blows, check the mains wire for shorts.
6. If it still blows, you most likely have a bad power transformer.

i think i found out the problem ... a bad cap can. i unhooked the can and powered the rectifer on the fuse didnt blow . so then i hooked up the can and disconnected the can from the board and the fuse blew. so i got a new jj coming in
