Weather was nice, besides the free reading materials at the entrance booth, I registered to win that free Strat! AES has had my email for a long time and having an office 2 miles away does save shipping, but I want something besides the long list of paypal receipts.
As expected some pretty cool exhibits. A lot of people building amps these days. One of the coolest was someone I had corresponded with but not met. It was a great pleasure to meet him in person. Most of you know of him, and along with all of you, he has helped me tremendously in this pursuit. Can you guess who this is?

Re: Tempe Guitar Show
Gotta be RJ with all that blue iron?
Re: Tempe Guitar Show
Correct! And a pleasure to chat with. As well as providing highly reasonable quality parts, he builds little guys too.

No pics but it was very nice to meet RJ in person.
I really appreciate his contributions to TAG
Malin Amplification another forum member had a booth with some nice amps
and his Dusenberg guitar. Which was a smooth playing guitar along with his D style amp with EV loaded cab. His 50 watt amp was refined
yet rockin.
Ventura Valve Amps had some nice amps and cabs
El34 based classic monsters with really nice dovetailed hardwood cabs.
Hillbilly Amps had some retro looking amps with a bias meter on the front of the cabs. They had a really good guitarist in the booth that was tearing it up the entire time.
Beavertone Amps had some Allen Amps on hand
also had a Juke Warbler amp(Magnatone based) which was pretty cool to play.
Uh....this is the end of my report
I hope to spend more time lurking next year.
