BYOC Tweed Royal kit problems

Post by Dbrink »

The Pin 3 plate voltage is 315 volts, pin 4 screen voltage 0, this is the same for both 6v6 tubes. Should there not be voltage on pin 4? I have traced all the wires repeatedly and still amp does not function. Been learning expieriance but would appreciate help

Thank you

Yes, screen voltage should be near 315, same as plates or a little lower. Pull the tubes while you're figuring this out. Screen resistors burnt? B+ getting to screen resistors?

Did you wire your 220k resistors under the board like the instructions say to pin 6 through a 1k5 resistor to pin 5? Make sure all connections are good
