Transformer rewinding service?
Anyone know of a company that rewinds shorted out tube transformers? Is this even worth it on a non vintage amp pricewise?

Not worth it at all on a non vintage amp unless you can not find a replacement Trans that is within 20 volts of primary voltage, and or there is a size concern to deal with!

Anything for a price. Contact Heyboer and see what they want. They probably have a suitable substitute for less.

What stevem said. Long time ago I got iron rewound by Charlie Cortright in Michigan, and he did an excellent job. But he stopped answering the phone nearly 20 years ago. I hope he's all right. Found another rewinder in western NY state, but his work was very expensive plus he goofed up a 5V rectifier winding on a Gibson PT so I wasn't too impressed with that.
If your transformer is some super duper hi fi item or highly prized Partridge for instance, you may be able to track down a rewinder thru Audio Asylum. You don't need to be a member to search their site for relevant postings.
