I have a Soldano SLO dual EQ clone and I get a very low volume output and I suspect the LDR layout is wrong and the LDR's are blocking the sound and sending the signal to ground. I took some voltage readings on the LED side to compare between channels and this is what I got in order of layout.
LEAD CH (Clean CH)
LDR1 +7.65 (+2.07)
------ 7.30 (0.22)
LDR5 +7.65 (+2.08 )
------ 7.30 (0.22)
LDR2 +7.31(+0.22)
------- 5.80 ( 0)
LDR7 +7.31 (+0.22)
------ 5.80 (0)
LDR6 +7.64 (+2.07)
------ 7.30 (0.22)
LDR3 +7.33 (+0.22)
------ 5.83 (0)
LDR4 +7.69 (+2.07)
------ 7.34 (0.22)
Can anyone translate this to me. I feel 1 or more of these LDR needs to be mounted upside down but. not sure which ones.

Problem solved. After tracing out the LDR, everything appeared to be correct that only left me to look at the fact that the voltage is higher than it should be in the SLO clone schematic. The Dual EQ notes for the switching circuit said to sub 47r and 33r with a pair of 15r's I guess due to the extra LDR's. Well I removed the two 15r's and installed the original 47r and 33r and the voltage is much better and the amp now works with full volume and switches channels ok.

Good deal!
