using 1/8" turrets on 1/16" board material
will the bottom of the turret swage out enough to hold tight? All i have is 1/16ths inch material and am too much of a cheap ass to just buy board material lol.

Place an order for either 1/16" turrets/eyelets or get 1/8" material.
Still using your food tray supply

I think i counted over 30 trays I still have left. After I cut the ends off I come out with something like 16"X24" of useable flat material.
I have enough to conceivably build for a lifetime lol.
I will just stick with the 1/16 eyelets and call it a day.

Oh, hell yes, you can pound out those turret flanges, no problem. The flanges may split, but still plenty strong.
I build and repair tube amps. http://amps.monkeymatic.com

Can't you glue two 1/16" boards together?
Re: using 1/8" turrets on 1/16" board material
I picked up a hundred pounds of 1/16 material when a local shop was closing it out for .25 a pound.
All of my turrets were for 1/8 board.
They work fine. It's just not as pretty as using the right length.
I will continue to use the 1/8 turrets on 1/16 board until I run out of turrets.
