Loctal 7C5
Anyone have any experience with the 7C5 tube? It's a loctal-type tube that has the same (?) specs as a 6V6, although it doesn't have the same pin-out at all (the plate is pin 2, for example). I bought several vintage loctal to octal converters off of ebay but it would seem they were wired for other octal pin conversions. I'd like to build another Champ with a 7C5, and have several laying around. The chassis I'm working with has several empty sockets, I'm thinking of installing a loctal socket in parallel with the octal socket for the 6V6 and only using one power tube at a time, to compare.

Yup,looks like it would work fine in class A with 250 volts on it and all the other 6v6 stuff( 250 ohm cathode resistor and all), and it is a beam type, I was not sure at first!
