Fuzzface question

Post by tribi9 »

Sorry for the dumb question... Im building a fuzzface. I'm working off of this layout and im confused as to what the charge pump feeds. (The 10 Uf cap)

On both the positive and negative side of the cap, there are trace cuts on one side and on the other side, the traces don't connect to anything.

Thx for your help.

i think it looks ok...

although i dont see where the +9 is used, it says bipolar...

i see the -9 exiting the IC at pin 5, jumpered to the top rail, ecap positive to ground and into the 470r and the bias adjust.

i think it is just using -9 to power the PNP GE transistors, no +9 is needed and you could use the same power supply as your other pedals :D
