'S'-taper pots

Got a request yesterday for a copy of a Sunn Beta series schematic. That reminded me that some of the pots in that preamp are Sigma or 'S' taper parts - not something I'd look forward to trying to source.

Could I get a close-enough response by finding a part of double the nominal value, with one section log and the other reverse-log (thinking balance pot or cross-fader)?

Still not easy to source, but maybe easier than the 'S'
