Wow.... No wonder Fender is imploding.
If you can't be a good example, then you'll just have to be a horrible warning.

If they really want a 'Pawnshop Series" Fender should buy the rights to Dean Markley ss amps from the 90's, those tan tolex things, or copy 90s ss Yamaha amps. Now those are Pawnshop amps.

I actually like the 2 tone look of the Ramparte.

I would like to a 2 tone hardwood version.

Maybe walnut and maple with ebony band.

Hmmm...Like I don't have enough projects already.

At one point, Fender had a choice to make. They produced iconic amps - tweeds, browns, blacks. Those amps are benchmarks and revered by many. Should they have stuck with that amp line and done nothing else? Or should they have moved 'forward' with Cyber, vaporizer, etc...? Fender was known for quality at one time. Yes, I know, it's hard to remember those days. Now they have diluted themselves into mediocrity or worse. The new age business practices of the suits at Fender turned them into shit. The new Fender is now a symbol of diluted confusion.

That video is going to sell a lot of amps for Fender... :P The vaporizer marketing concept is insulting the intelligence of their customer base. I didn't hear any tones that conjured up the image of vaporization. I heard a crappy, fizzy overdrive that made me want to puke. Fender is continuing to find new lows...and I don't mean bass notes.

I'll take a pass on the Fender Vaporizer, and stick with my trusty Vicks Vaporizer, and breath easy.

Load of crap, short and simple, I love the old fenders but this is pure bullshit, pretty much anyone of us at TAG could build a better sounding amp, sounded like a fly in a coke bottle, Fender have lost there way, I cannot think of any recent affordable production amp that is more than mediocre

I agree with a lot of what has been said here BUT I have to say that if any company simply rests on their laurels they will be out of business shortly. I may not like the way Fender or Gibson do business these days but it is a difficult market to stay relavent in. To the beginner player that can't afford quality gear, they need to give them affordable options and that means cutting corners. Or else they go buy a Peavey or a Crate or a Bugera which can be had for stupid cheap. For most beginners a Bugera is a good sounding amp because their ears aren't experienced enough to know the difference. The reliability isn't as much of a factor when you only play in your bedroom. Fender has to put out this stuff because it is a matter of survival.

It can't be that hard to make a quality low wattage valve amp that doesn't sound like crap and stay within a price band, I could understand the Cyber Twin which as modelling amps go is pretty decent for a bedroom or small gig rig but the latest offering is just dire, it gives valve amps a bad name lol.
To be fair to Bugera with a decent cab they are half decent considering the price point, your average guitarist used to playing through whatever would be pretty stoked with the tones, Crate have made some stonking amps in the day, I had a VFX and a early vintage 50, great gigging amps.

Fender may need to adapt but this aint it

Crate is just as bad these days. After LOUD Tech bought out SLM it went down hill fast. I had a kid bring me a Crate Combo a few years back. It was a 50 watt combo and had this truely tiny PT in it. The Power Supply used very high speed diodes and they kept burning out and you couldn't source them because the company that made them stopped making them. The amp was not even a year old and crate stopped servicing them and sent buyers a replacement amp cause they couldn't fix them. Plus Fender has a great deal more debt service than most of their competitors these days so they need to cut more corners to stay in the race.

I had a friend that used to gig with two Vintage 50 heads and two 4x10 Crate cabs. They were good amps but today.....you couldn't give me a new Crate for free
