Marshall Lead 12 - Final Rebirth

Post by Bob S »

I know a few of us have converted these, so...
No more torture for this little combo.
It's been 3 different tube amps since I got it.
Going to a new home in Ohio - where I can't get at it.
My buddy down there has a 1957/8 LP Jr he hasn't used in 30 years...
It's now a deluxe-ish clean amp.
410 v B+
2 x 6V6 - 12AU7 pre - 12AT7 PI.
Sings nice. Great sustain.
But it's not a Marshall.

HAH! take that, Jim Marshall!

It looks great, buddy. He's going to have lots of fun beating his plank through it! :)

Very nice Robert!! Love the tone stack re-location approach.

RIP (Jim) Marshall Lead 12....enjoy a long-lived (Leo'ish) reincarnation!!

Kinda like reverse evolution if you think about it.

Cheers,
Dave O.
