Do we still need those 7 stickies at the top of this page?
I think it would be cool to loose a few, for my...er, our viewing pleasure.

On the Hoffman amp building forum, there is an ARCHIVES for stuff like that.

Uh oh it's Fri the 13th for stickies. They ARE jam packed full of good ideas - not to be lost - thanks and respect to those who started and contributed to them. Yes an Archive or "Best Of" or similar spot would be good.
down technical blind alleys . . .
Re: Do we still need those 7 stickies at the top of this page?
I voted, "who cares?" Actually, I care. Most if not all are really good stickies. Maybe they can be moved to a new section reserved for tired stickies? Seriously, I'm suggesting a "technical resources" section where these would live a happy retirement and still be accessible. I don't think I want to see them go away. I probably tolex something once a year. I know I can find Taylor's great video here and I watch it when I need it. Otherwise, it amounts to finding a needle in a haystack on boobtoob. How many more bookmarks can I keep track of? (Answer, not many more.)

I voted keep them all forever, because it was closest to my preference even though not fully accurate. I don't see the point of getting rid of them or moving them at this time, although I can see they might dominate your screen if the resolution is low.

+1 for "Archive" section.
I'm not worried about missing any new posts, because I browse by "new posts".

This may be counter-intuitive, but they are a constant reminder that I should read them. For experienced amp builders they may not be needed, for for new folks like myself that come along all the time, it's nice to have them there. Case in point, I just started reading about Dumbles. I would be a bit lost if the stickies weren't there. That said, a singular sticky in each section, pointing to all the stickies, for each section, may be a good compromise.

I just printed them all out and stuck them in a binder (minus the videos, of course, I am not a wizard) in case the power goes out and i need reading material

I hope some of you found the humor in my post, I don't really really care myself just have a small screen, and wonder if some of those stickies are really sticky-worthy. I mean, there's been a lot of extremely informative threads that don't get sticky'd, right?. To me the stickies should be disclaimers, or other must read info.
I think an archive is a grand idea for things like the Presonance control, for example, and maybe effects building needs it's own section by now. Who knows, since the site is reputable on amps, maybe it will attract some really knowledgeable pedal builders.
I don't know, the stickies just seem kind of random to me besides the reading material...., light bulb limiter, and Roberto's post. Just my opinion of course!

Maybe the Tolex tutorial should go in the speakers/cabs section

Could we have a sticky that leads to the cabinet and speaker forum? Kind of a wormhole of sorts.
