A certain amp by a certain builder (both will remain nameless) is closely based on this circuit. It has one tone knob and one volume knob. If anyone can describe the design of the tone and volume and tell me where to put them in this amp I would be so grateful.
Thanks
Karl

Re: Hammond AO35 circuit question
Don't waste your time. The tone stack is what ruins the amp your talking about. I guess you can call it a tone sucking stack!
If you want to build that amp put a tone suck (I mean stack) bypass on it and see how it opens up!

Re: Hammond AO35 circuit question
Karl,
Take a look at the Trinity Amps website for the Trinity 15... and also check out the Matchless Spitfire... these are some great amps and you can learn where you want that tone stack from them.
Ultimately most of the guys at the 18 Watt site prefer some variation of the 18 Watt over the model your talking about...
I'm building something close to what your asking about from a Fender Pro Jr. Chassis and cabinet. It's limited to a two knobber by the chassis layout... we'll see how it sounds.
Also, search for threads for the exact model you want and you'll find more info...

Karl,
I've just finished the same project. It is a great amp. True the guys over at 18watt like their 18's better but If you like dirty, on the edge of breakup, county like tone you'll love the AO35 inspired design. If you need info or any help just drop me a line.

Good luck,

Re: Hammond AO35 circuit question
After looking things over for a while I've determined that I want to try the modified AO35 as a mod to my Pro Junior chassis. Does anyone have a layout and circuit board design they'd share... I'b very grateful..
Thanks,
RJ
