Hello,
I have thousands of NOS / NIB Military Vacuum tubes and while everybody craves the 12AX7, 6L6, ect. The Military numbers that I have are less widely known. I have triodes, pentodes, and dual diode tubes . I am looking for an amplifier builder who will work with me to build amplifiers using specific tubes that I have in quantity and then market, sell and promote these new amplifiers. I expect production runs of greater than 200 amplifiers a month once the project gets going.
Serious Inquiries Only - I will email you specific tube lists.
thanks,
David

I doubt that they would care what the tube list is, more likely the depth of your pockets.
Re: Amp Designer
I'd say you're much better off selling tubes, rather than going through the paces trying to have amps created by someone else, that may or may not be tonal bliss. There is more value in selling what you have now, rather than investing in this venture. If you do have as many as you say and they are desirable brands and types, you should be able to make quite the profit, even selling well below retail, which will attract consumers. I'm sure there are folks here that will be interested, myself included.
Re: Amp Designer
I could make the amps for you, but it'd cost ya. Heaps. (Mind you, I'm not saying I will)

$$$ didn't stop those who wanted Perreaux hi fi amps though. Just adds to the show-off value.

I agree
Also, from a consumer point of view. An amp with obscure less common tubes would pose a hassle when wanting to replace tubes. Common tubes are stocked in most good music stores, and can be purchased easily. How would you get replacement power tubes for such an amp? Contact the manufacturer? Ebay? This wouldn't worry some people. But it would definitely be a concern for some.
Re: Amp Designer
You should pay one of the builders here to make a prototype using your tubes.
Then you'll own the design and can get it made anywhere.
200/month is a LOT of amps. I doubt some of the name brands sell that many.

Do not limit yourself to what others think is reasonable or possible.

Re: Amp Designer
How to get rich quick:
1. Set up production line, made in USA. Wave the flag, pop the bag, yippeee.
2. Fail miserably.
3. Go to Congress for handout.
(4. Sell scrap to China.)
Repeat as required until dead. Or set up parallel operations for faster results.
mix, stir, enjoy.
