Amp builder for a marshall clone

Post by Jbr13 »

I was looking for an amp builder to put together another marshall clone for me. All the amp builders i know are either too busy or under contract and are not able to.
Any ideas?
Thanks

I guess presumptive builder's location is irrelevant, since you didn't tell us yours. Give Martin at Marvel Amps a call. His builds are top notch.

Since every amp builder i know in Los Angeles is too busy... Im gonna have to find someone outside of LA and deal with shipping.

So you are in LA?

Please put that in your location in your profile, it will help us help you.

Also, what model Marshall are you wanting built?

Many different Marshall's make it a guessing game unless you can be specific.

There are plenty of builders here... don't know if they would all give up their baby when done.

Like Tom said... post the model number you are looking for and they will surface.

Fusionbear (Carl) has been doing great work, very to-spec stuff, and posting his build logs here and on TGP. He's in North Orange County, I think. Beautiful work.

And I'm not too shabby, either, if you don't mind hiring a Northern Californian… :D

I can vouch for Carl's work. He built this SL using some NOS mustards, a Valvestorm kit, and some trannies from Mercury Magnetics. TGP thread link below.

I've been having him do my bias/service work on my demo amps for about a year now.

Email me if you need any specific info or help.

Yep. I had a hand in this. I spec'd the trannies, the tubes used, supplied the NOS mustard caps and the head cab. The rest of it was all Carl with a Valvestorm kit and his lead dress/wiring skills, etc.

And one of my 69 spec slant naked cabs with an M75/H75 16 ohm 65w mix in the cab.

It rocks.

That is epic. I always admire his work.

Chris Merren has my vote if you want something sounding like an original JTM45.
