Gibson GA 15RVT Tremelo Thumping

the tremelo thumps when on.makes a popping sound.any ideas what the problem is ? reverb works fine. please respond to strat1953@aol.com

I can't speak for others, but I suspect we'd rather keep this in the forum rather than go off board for direct email. You'll get group think that way. Some of us may not be ready to give an email address to a stranger.

My first reaction is to ask whether you have swapped V2 for a known good tube. If you don't have a spare, swap V1 and V2. Both are 6EU7. You should verify V1 and V2 are both 6EU7. Gibson had a bad habit of making undocumented changes.

As for the amp, check tubes first, electrolytic caps, and lead dress.
