Would it be better for the NFB resistor to be soldered directly to the impedance switch as opposed to the presence pot (or the board)?
Also, I've never really had problems from the NFB wire that I know, but are there some guidelines for running it a long way? It's always at least going across the board and power tube sockets, and in some cases across almost the whole amp. I know to keep it away from preamp stuff, but would it be better to run it straight down under the board and along the bottom edge of the chassis with the OT primaries, or float it above everything and keep it as short as possible? Hope that makes sense. Any insight is appreciated.

Re: NFB resistor and wire questions
In a few amps I've seen, and in talking with a fellow TAG member, one way to do it is to fly it over everything up in the air, minimizing wire length, right to the Z switch. Shielded wire would be real good.
Re: NFB resistor and wire questions
That's what I've been doing mostly... With the resistor right on the Z switch. It's typically one of the last wires I solder in so I always have a moment where I wonder the best route.
I may try some shielded wire sometimes. The stuff I use, the common stuff, is so thin I'm always a little apprehensive to use it for the NFB wire.
