Re: Fender Vintage Amp Schematics X, B and D
It means that you need to run a wire from D to the other D, X to the other X, and so on.
There are 2 of each.

Ok. Thanks. Simple enough

I see you posted this elsewhere. Please don't xpost the same thread/question. One thread is enough. I'm sure you will get the help if someone has the answer.
My apologies if the thread was moved and that's why it is in 2 places.

It's important to recognize the difference between a layout as you've attached and a schematic.Amp'd Up wrote:Hello. I am new to the forum. I having trouble interpreting what X, D and B with box around them is.

Usually on a Fender drawing A, B, C or D are power supply nodes along the dropping string with progressively lower voltages and increased filtering.
(C is skipped on this particular Princeton)
Letter designations can also mean a common connection such as a shared cathode R/C.
X's usually means filaments so the actual wiring for the filaments can be left off the drawing for simplicity.
In this case the X is something else, it looks like one X connects to the other X so, again, the wire can be left off so as not to jumble up the drawing.
V3 pin6 -> .02 -> "X" -> V4 pin7
Hope this helps.

Agreed, this all belongs in one place.tribi9 wrote:I see you posted this elsewhere. Please don't xpost the same thread/question. One thread is enough. I'm sure you will get the help if someone has the answer.

I replied here before I saw the thread in the Fender subhead.
