Found a couple of interesting things stashed away in the back, bottom drawer of the ol file cabinet...
The were hand drawn so I spruced them up a bit on the computer...
One is a diagram and instructions for a simple static tube tester drawn by John Atwood one of the editors of the 90's magazive VTV (Vacuum Tube Valley) If I recall correctly this tester can be used to match tubes as well as weed out bad ones. This is a very basic design without the power supply, fusing, etc... but it's got everything a person with basic electronic skills needs to build a tube tester...
Two other drawings are circuits for source followers to drive a tube power amp. Each has slightly diffrent concepts as far as the biasing goes. I don't remember where I found these circuits; somewhere on the internet around ten years ago. Never built these myself but if I recall correctly these circuits had been built and did work...
Again, they're are some tweaks that could be done to further enhance these designs but the basic concept is there....
Enjoy...
