Lately I've been collecting all kinds of old schematics and layouts and this one looks like an easy project for new builders.

Bears a strong resemblance to the original Fender Champion (later shortened to Champ).
Best regards,
Steve

Steve,
Yes it sure does look like the early Champ.
Nice to find PTP layouts with some of the schematics.

Re: Old SE schematic and layout
If a beginner is reading this, some things that you'd probably want to know going into this:
1) the schemo is incomplete as is the layout
2) the cap off the mains should be removed
3) there should be a three lead IEC with a ground to the chassis
4) the PT should have a 5V 2A, 6.3V 2A and a HV of roughly 290-0-290 125mA, to maybe 320-0-320
5) there should be a grid stopper on the 6L6 (1k?)
6) there could/should be a screen resistor (470-1k?)
7) the "1k wire" resistor will dissipate ~5W so use a 15-25W resistor
two 100R resistors should be acquired for a CT on the heaters
