cathode and plate resistors

Post by jestaudio »

i,m re-aproaching the question from a different angle, the rule of 66 in respect to plate and cathode resistors doesn't actually seem to be much off a rule alot of layouts seem to go against it, the question being is what effect does say using a 100k/820 combo as opposed to 100k/1k5 or even 100k/2k7, i can assume it affects gain and tonal quality's but in what way
Cheers for and advice :D
