Help with Comet repair

Post by fusionbear »

Hello guys, a friend of mine asked me to check his comet clone because it was sounding thin, so I opened up and it has been modded to somewaht plexi specs with a cathode follower. Putting it back to stock shouldn't be hard at all except that I don't have a schematic. Here are some pics. any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!!

Looks like a K50 concorde. To be honest, this is the second comet type amp I have ever encountered and don't want to blow it...

No tube rectifier, so it must be the connie...

Customer claims it was built by someone in this forum we all know...

The amp is a concorde with a fast/gradual switching mod. Looks like a very good build.
I sent you the info.

Thank you! That will really help. I see the differences and can return it to stock now...

Thank you very much. The schematic really was helpful and in the end it was only the .022 Bass tone cap that went south. My friend was very happy...
