I'm looking for an old mod reported (or invented) by Novosibir (aka Larry)

about the substitution of the long tail resistor (in PI) with a pot

Please have you a link for that argument ?

I'm looking for but not able to find it

You mean the 10k PI tail? Simple enough.

Substitute a 25k (or larger) trimmer instead of the 10k resistor. That's all!

In my conversations with other people, and my own trials of it I think the 22k range is a nice place to end up.

IIRC Larry suggested a 50k revlog pot instead of the classical 10k (I use a 10-20k switch in my amps).
