Multi Section Capacitor

Post by jadams »

Hey all,
I need to replace an old 30/20/10/10 350V multi section can. The closest I can find is a 30/20/20/20 525V. Would this be a decent substitute? The amp is an older Dukane PA 1b665 with 1 5y3, 2 el84 and 1 6k11.

That should be just fine as a substitute and you have to remember that the precision of electrolytics is marginal at best so real values may be significantly higher than nominal. Electrolytics can be +50 and -10% of the stated value depending on the brand.
