Brunetti Mercury EL34?

Post by rsalinger »

Tried a new amp (to me, anyways) at a local dealer, today. An Italian-made Brunetti Mercury EL34. Is anyone familiar with this brand? I've never heard of them... but the build quality seemed top-notch.

I managed to get ball-park Ford, Carlton and Santana tones, quite easily. Nice sounding amp. I was wondering if it was Dumble-derived/inspired?

Cheers,
Rob

I remember a youtube clip of Dave Kilminster using Brunetti amps on the Roger Water The Wall Tour, he speaks highly of them.

here is the youtube link.

I picked up a "Brunetti Mercury Box" Pedal... based around the circuit/sound (so they say) of the afore-mentioned Mercury EL34 Amp. It’s the best overdrive I've owned and sounds stellar through my Stangray clone… which can sometimes be a finicky bugger.

Tons of youtube clips...
