Adding reverb to a Creme Brulee

Post by jon »

I built an amp based off a Ceriatone Creme Brulee a while back and I was thinking about adding a simple reverb to it. what is the simpliest way of accomplishing it.

the simplest way would be to add a tank reverb to the front end.

do you have room for a reverb transformer, pots, and additional tubes on your chassis? and room in the shell for the tank?

which amp is the Creme cloned after? does that actual manufactor off this amp in a reverb model? if so locating that schematic would be the simplest. if not it's hard to go wrong with a typical fender reverb. Ampeg Jet and Rockets also make a great verb.

you might want to add the ceratone FX loop mod. this would allow you to add reverb using an external foot pedal, this would be the simplest and cheapest way.

I was thinking about removing the master volume and using that hole as the control for the reverb. I believe I could add one (1) more tube socket and a transformer. I have room for a tank as well but it will need to be a small one.

The Creme Brulee is a 1/2 power single channel Matchless DC30.

Here is a link to a DC-30 w/reverb compare it to your schematic and tie it in. It wont get much easier then OEM.
